Anne Hooss and Chris Schiavo, artist from New York City, got to know each others work via Instagram. They were amazed and inspired to find how similar their perceptions, themes, camera movement and edit choices were. Similar, but different. The artistic kinship and the appreciation for each others work is huge on both sides. To enter into a visual dialogue exploring the notion of “similar but different”, was motivation for this book / dialogue.

Anne Hooss und Chris Schiavo, Künstlerin aus New York City, haben ihre Arbeiten auf Instagram kennengelernt. Die Verblüffung über ähnliche Sichtweisen in Bewegung, Bildauffassung, über die künstlerische Seelenverwandtschaft und Liebe zur Arbeit der anderen, ist auf beiden Seiten groß. Mit diesem Ähnlichen und doch Anderen in Dialog zu treten, war Motivation für dieses Buch / diesen Dialog.
